Omar Abdulrahman Ahmed Al Raaki Al Amoodi ((アラビア語:عمر عبد الرحمن أحمد الراقي العمودي); born 20 September 1991) nicknamed Amoory, is an Emirati footballer. He plays as a winger and attacking midfielder for Al-Ain and the UAE national football team. Omar started his career when he went on a trial with Al Hilal in 2000. He joined Al Ain in 2007 at the age of 15. In the 2008–09 season he was promoted to first-team squad, made his debut in 2009 and won his first senior honours Etisalat Cup and President's Cup, 2009 Super Cup. Despite suffering a cruciate ligament injury in the following season and sidelined for more than six months, he became a first team regular and helped his club to avoid relegation in 2010–11. He finished the season with 11 goals in 29 appearances and was voted the most promising player of the Year. In 2011–12, Omar suffered again the same injury and was out for six months, he returned from the injury and his club crowned the league. After a two weeks trial with Manchester City, he back to Al Ain to became a key player in a 2012–13 season and was voted Emirati Player of the Year, the Fans’ Player of the Year and the Young Arab Player of the Year in 2013 as his side achieved the 2012 Super Cup, league. In which he also scored 8 goals and assists 16 in 31 games. In 2014, Omar ranked first in assists in domestic competitions with 19.
==Early life==
Omar was born in Riyadh, Growing up there in a working-class environment, to a family of Hadhrami descent from the Hadhramaut Governorate. His father Abdulrahman Ahmed was a former player, he the youngest of two sisters and three older brothers, Ahmad, Khaled and Mohammed.〔 He began playing football at a very young age and was playing most of his time in Riyadh neighborhoods. He drew attention from scout Abdulrahman Eissa, who saw him by chance at Al Malaz yard near Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium and admired his talent and asked about the club that he played for. The answer was that he's not playing for any club and also does not hold Saudi nationality. After Abdulrahman Eissa began to contact him and his brother, he then began participating in tournaments and courses and Yahya Al-Shehri was with them. In 2000, he went on a trial with Al Hilal. was very interested in signing him. However, as full Saudi nationality was only offered to him and not his entire family, his father reject the offer. Then a call came to Abdulrahman Eissa friend Ahmed Al Garoon from Honorary member of Al Ain, Nasser bin Thaloub who was searching for young talented players, Abdulrahman Eissa told him about Omar talent and his brothers Mohammed and Khalid. he asked their passports and they joined to the outside camp of Al Ain in Germany. Al Ain agreed to grant citizenship to his whole family who then moved to the United Arab Emirates. Omar joined the club with two of his brothers and enrolled in the club's youth academy.
